Connect the 9pin D Connector to the Com Port 1 or 2. *Note: Most computers today don't have serial ports. To over come this problems use a USB to serial adaptor. USB to Serial Adaptor     2. Connect the telephone style connector to the radio microphone socket of the radio. *Note: The process to changing something is the same for all makes & models. 3.  READ the Radio get the information currently stored in it. 4. Save the information. Just in case something goes wrong, you can always get back to before you started. 5. Edit the radio, add a scan channel etc. 6.  WRITE to radio (don't forget to save the info).   Need help finding software! UHF world
